The Focus of Our Ministry
Our work with JARON Ministries
has a global focus. Our ministry
centers on the training of
national pastors and church
leaders around the world. We
have developed study courses and
are in the continual process of
developing new courses that will
help train pastors who already
have a limited formal education
but need more training in how to
effectively fulfill their
pastoral ministry.
The Heart of Our Ministry
God has placed on our hearts the
desire to be involved in the
training of national pastors and
their wives. We have made
several trips to the
Philippines, Mexico, Cuba, the
Dominican Republic, Grenada and
Trinidad/Tobago where we are
training pastors and church
leaders. As we survey the need
of pastors overseas for further
education, we have sensed God’s
leading to invest our lives in
this ministry. We are in the
process of developing practical,
biblically based courses for
pastors, which we are using in
the Philippines, Mexico, Cuba
and our JARON Bible Institute
here in Fresno. The courses use
the scriptural principle of
training key pastors in small
groups in order that they in
turn can teach other pastors and
church leaders. (2 Timothy 2:2)
Currently our ministry has
targeted the Philippines, Mexico
and Cuba where we are training
key leaders from two to four
times a year or more frequently
as travel funds are available.
The courses we have already
developed and are teaching are
Personal Holiness, Spiritual
Life of the Pastor, Pastoral
Leadership, Marks of a Healthy
Church, Discipleship and
Biblical Counseling. Other
courses such as basic theology,
hermeneutics, homiletics, and
beginning Greek/Hebrew will also
be taught as needed.
