 About Rich & Lynn

Rich grew up in Hawaii and I (Lynn) grew up in the Philippines. Rich went to Bible College of New Tribes Mission (NTM) U.S.A. And I went to Bible School of New Tribes Mission in Manila, Philippines. I served as a missionary in the tribal areas for 5 years before meeting Rich. We met in Manila when Rich went with the NTM Summit team to help build a new Bible School building for New Tribes Mission.

After 6 months we were married and I immigrated to America to be with my husband. As a couple, we went through the Training as missionaries with New Tribes Mission and went back to the Philippines with children ages 5, 4 and 3. Our 4th child was born in the Philippines. We have 2 girls and 2 boys. They now have their own Families and we are blessed so far with 10 grandchildren, 9 girls and a boy.

As husband and wife, we served God in the Philippines from 1994 until 2019. We were working on the Island of Palawan in the Philippines with the New Tribes Mission. In 2020 we retired from the field after 36 years for Me, Lynn, and 28 for Rich. We are grateful to God that although we retired from the field, we are not retired from serving Him. God has put us into a different aspect of His Ministry in the Philippines. We are partnering now with JARON Ministries International. We have known and worked with the folks at JARON since 1996 when Rob Carter visited our tribe station with a work team to help build our tribal home.

Prayers & Praise

Pray for health and strength in continuing to serve. Please continue to pray for provision and funding for New Life Community Church, under Operation Bayanihan. They are currently providing for over 80 people, in need of funding to feed the people after church, continue to reach out into the community, purchase a vehicle and build a church building and lot.

Projects

Bright Bayanihan Project Fund

The Filipino word, “Bayanihan”, is derived from the word Bayan, meaning town, nation or community. Bayanihan litterally means “being bayan” and is thus used to refer to the value of spirit of communal unity and cooperation to accomplish an objective, commonly used for sowing rice, corn, etc. and for carrying havy load hand to hand, shoulder to shoulder. It is a term in the Philippine culture for helping one another especially in the family realm.

As God’s family, the Bayanihan is what God intended for us as His children to help sow the seed of the gospel and carry the load of one another.
