About Wayne

After accepting Christ as his Savior, Wayne was asked by his pastor’s wife to get involved in the children’s ministry at church. He was an Awana Commander for 30 of his 32 years serving in Awana and 34 years total in children’s ministry. Since 1992, Wayne has also been a participant or team leader on 10 JARON short term mission trips to the Philippines and 2 trips with other agencies to Mexico and Peru.  He was a co-worker in Pointman Ministries for 2 years, percussionist on his church worship team for 20 years and founded Re-start Ministries during that time. Beginning in 2005, he joined the Christian Motorcyclists Association and is currently the President of the Auburn, CA chapter. He serves annually as Chaplain for the National Veterans Awareness Ride, a motorcycle ride each May from Auburn, CA to Washington, D. C.

November 2015 was when Wayne founded Re-start Ministries in Auburn. Re-start supplied donated household items and furniture to families who were starting over in their lives. Wayne operated Re-start Ministries full
time and served Placer and Nevada Counties, CA. He used a cadre of volunteers to help in the pick-up and delivery of large items. Re-start has helped over 1,140 families since 2016. In May 2021, Wayne needed to retire for medical reasons due to severe carpel tunnel in his hands. Unable to locate someone to take over the ministry, Wayne closed Re-
start furniture ministry. Re-start is now transitioning into a role as an advocate for the homeless population of the Auburn, CA area.

Prayers & Praise

Please pray for God’s direction as Wayne begins to build a local coalition of individuals, non-profits and government agencies to help the homeless transition off the streets into becoming the citizens they desire to be. All financial donations go toward the expenses of supplying the homeless with needed items.
